FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) What should I expect as the timeline for my project?
Here is a general timeline of what it will take to complete your project. Please keep in mind that each project is different, and depending on complexities of the project, the time figured may change.
One to two days to rip out existing kitchen, plumbing, and appliances.
One day to make new electrical changes and install new receptacles.
One day for new plumbing work.
One day for simple framing changes, and four days to add new drywall.
One day for new flooring.
Three or more days for cabinetry work, depending on the complexity of the kitchen.
One day for new lighting fixtures and hookups.
Two to three days for wall coverings.
Appliances and plumbing encounters may take an additional day.

2) How do I prepare for the remodeling project?
Day 1: Pack up all your kitchen gear, plates, glasses, and everything in your cabinets.
Day 2: Put away carpets and anything else you want to spare from the construction dust.
Day 3: Decide on the new place, outside of the remodel area, for your refrigerator and your temporary countertop.
Day 4: In order to control the dust, buy some tape and clear plastic to seal off the work area. Include if possible, a separate entry for the installer. No matter what, there will be dust everywhere. This may be a good time to send the draperies our to be cleaned!
Day 5: Stock your freezer with easy to fix meals in microwave safe containers.
