Questions You Should Be Prepared To Answer

Imagine. Design. Create.

At FTC, we strive to make your remodeling experience as efficient as possible, which is why we have developed a series of questions for homeowners to be ready to address during the first meeting.

Chris’s primary goal during this phase is to become well acquainted with each client’s wants, needs, and unique tastes that ultimately factor into every remodel project. This process enables Chris to zone in quickly, establishing a plan of attack that will streamline an otherwise potentially overwhelming experience.

Many clients come to us with either preconceived ideas about remodeling, or misinformation regarding products and materials. This time together provides an opportunity for education that ultimately leads to our clients feeling equipped and prepared for each phase of the exciting adventure ahead.

Just as each individual is unique, so is every project that comes across our path. The following preliminary questions are just a few you will be asked to consider.

Feel free to prepare answers before your first meeting with us.

Imagine.

What do you love about your home?

You’ve decided to stay instead of move. Maybe you have a perfect location, a beautiful view, great neighbors. What is it that makes your house a home?

Tell us your wish list

We all have dreams for our personal spaces. Home office? Exercise room? Sun room? Dream bar in the basement? Home theater? Now is the time to share those magazine clippings you’ve been saving!

Design.

How do you want to use this space?

Multipurpose or specific? Great room? Reading/sitting room? Man-cave? Spa retreat? Family space?

What don’t you have in this space now that you would like to have?

More closet space? Tile shower? Granite? Shelving? Decorative molding? Hardwood? More windows? Total make-over?

Concerns with the space?

Too small? Outdated? Not enough light? Too many books and no place to display them? Functionality of the space?

Budget allotted for this project?

This is very important information to consider ahead of time, as it will serve to guide us in determining which products we can use to meet your expectations, as well as the depth of the project you desire.

Create.

Above all, we want you to enjoy this process! Your home is your sanctuary. Beautiful memories reside within these walls surrounding you and time has taken a toll. Let us help you fall in love with your home all over again!
